Betty Raynor,Owner/Broker in Charge
Betty grew up in the Chesapeake and Norfolk Virginia area where she graduated from Great Bridge High School and moved to Louisburg in 1966. She took several business courses at Vance Granville Community College. All of her ancestors were from the Franklin County area. Her parents moved from Louisburg to Virginia in the 40's and raised a family there until 1966 when they returned to Louisburg and their roots. Betty married Louisburg native Rickey Raynor in 1967 and had two children, Tammy and Ryan. Ryan is a broker with United Country Raynor and Associates and his wife, Beth is the office manager. They have one child, Casson who is the apple of his Grandma's eye!
Because there was a need for a real estate broker in the construction business that Rickey owned, Betty formed Raynor and Associates Realty as Broker in Charge in July of 1987. She was going to work part time but quickly found that she enjoyed her new venture and decided there is no such thing as a successful part time real estate broker. She worked out of the house for 6 months and decided that they needed an office outside of the home. They rented a space in the building beside the Chamber of Commerce on North Main Street in 1988. They remained there until they bought their present building at 203 W. Nash Street in 1996. They joined United Country Real Estate in 1999. Rickey and Betty were awarded the Chamber Business Leader Award in 2000 and the Small Business of the Year Award for 2008 by the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce.
Betty served as Service Team Chairman for the Franklin County Girl Scouts in the 70's for several years and also had a Girl Scout troop of her own. She was a member of the Louisburg Women's club for many years and served on various committees. She was involved with the Franklin County 4-H Ski Club and served on the board of directors of Safe Space, Inc. Betty and Rickey were very involved with the athletic booster clubs both at Gold Sand Middle School and Louisburg High School. They were awarded a plaque in their honor from Gold Sand Middle School in 1981. Betty also served on committees within the chamber and helped start the Downtown Revitalization Committee in Louisburg. She is a member of Louisburg Baptist Church and was involved with the youth group when her children were growing up.

Ryan Raynor
Ryan is a home town boy who loves Franklin County & the surrounding area. After graduating from college (Appalachian State) he decided to move back home & help his parents with the family business (real estate & building businesses). He also married a native to the area Beth (who moved back home after college as well). Beth also works in the business. They have a 5 year old son (Casson) that they spend a lot of time with. They spend lots of family time working/playing in the yard, playing golf, traveling to the beach or mountains, or just hanging out with each other! “As a native with deep roots one of the greatest joys I have is to meet people from out of the area come and see the beauty and tranquility our area has to offer. I feel lucky to call this area home. ” With over 11 years of experience in the real estate business Ryan is a member of the National Assoc. of Realtors, Raleigh Assoc. of Realtors, the Triangle MLS, and has been on several local boards over the years. He has a lot of local expertise in the area. If he doesn’t have an answer for you question he will work to find an answer for you quickly. He does not mind traveling to help clients reach their goals. After moving back home our family decided it was time to make a change & look for a real estate franchise. After many long hours of research we teamed up with United Country (specializes in the marketing of small town/country real estate, anything from commercial, to historical homes, farms, timberland, etc.) and this has been one of the smartest business decisions we have ever made. The support & education opportunities are unmatched by any competing franchise and this, combined with good old fashioned hard work and great clients that continually refer business to me are the top three reasons why I have excelled in my real estate career. “Having a family owned real estate company that has been in business for over 20 years, a building business that has been in operation for over 35 years, being part of the #1 franchise in country real estate, and continually striving to provide the best in customer/client service makes the 21st century look very bright!

Chip Harris,Associate
I grew up in the Epsom community of Franklin County and attended Epsom school. In 1965 I left Franklin County and relocated to Christiansburg, VA where I raised a family and was employed by Radford University as a Locksmith. In 1990 I returned to Franklin County and worked as a service tech for Best Locking System of Richmond. I later was employed by the Wake County Sheriff's office as a Detention Office. I was also with the Vance County Sheriff's Department for several years before becoming a Realtor. I came to Raynor and Associates in 2005 and have worked there in my native Franklin County ever since.
